Kennedy Malone is DC’s top spin doctor. She keeps the political brass looking clean and shiny. Her personal life is not so well organized and she needs a spin to wiggle her way out of a little fix. A piece of cake. All she needs is a fiancé for one week. Is that too much to ask?
Douglas Drake is a freelance photographer. He travels the world and brings home award-winning work. He has no time for commitment to anything else. When his neighbor and friend asks him for a favor he hesitantly obliges. He could use a break and Kennedy has helped him out too many times to count. Last minute trips to the airport, feeding his pet Iguana while he is away on assignment for weeks on end. Kennedy has always come through. But going to her hometown and pretending to be her fiancé for a whole week is a pretty big favor.
Kennedy is a strait-laced, businesswoman; Drake a laid back, go-with-the-flow kind of guy. They are total opposites in all things except career focus. Pretending to be engaged for seven days and nights shouldn’t be a problem…until passion and desire explodes between them!
Though Debra Webb has distinguished herself as an author of romantic suspense, she began her career writing sassy and spicy romances for Kensington’s Precious Gems. For the first time these heartfelt stories, which were sold only in Walmart for one short month, are available as ebooks.

Keeping Kennedy was a cute story with a fun plot and likable characters. I didn't find the story believable but I can accept the premise of make-believe in a romance that was obviously intended to be light reading. I found the dialogue to be exceptionally good and the imagery to be very vivid. This book could have used the services of a proofreader but the mistakes were minor so they did not interfere with the flow of the story. I did enjoy reading this story; it makes for a very pleasant interlude after a heavy book. I think other people would like this story also.Product details

Keeping Kennedy edition by Debra Webb Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Story line and characters interesting. A few surprises kept story enjoyable. Certain aspects of lead characters not believable, but this was still a fun read.
Enjoyed the story, but it really needs some serious editing. Felt like they were in a hurry to get it published and skipped/skimmed over way too many typos.
They say "there's a thing line between love and hate", I would like to add that there's a thing line between love and friendship. This novel is a must read, once you start, you won't stop reading until you get to the last page and even then, you will want more.
Oh, did i mention it is hilarious.
This was a cute predictable little romance, great for something light where you don't need to think. It was well written, and the characters were likeable.
I think once in awhile this is just what you need especially if you are reading a heavier or depressing book.
I read this because I loved the Impulse books by this author, and while I prefer the mysteries this was consistently satisfactory. If you are looking for a five star I would definitely read Obsession and Impulse.
Typical story of insecure girl pretending to have a boyfriend /fiance for her highschool reunion. I really hated the parents. Why? Because the author had Kennedy say they were uptight and conservative. When Kennedy comes home the parents are acting like free loving hippies. She is shocked by their new dress and behavior. They say it's because the reunion committee decided to have everyone in town dress and act like the year they graduated from highschool. It really put me off because no one can change their personality that quickly. Her parents were all of a sudden going to let ber share her bed with her "fiance " just because the reunion committee told them to act a part? When normally the fiance would be sleeping in the guest room?! If that was true then the author should never have said they were so conservative and uptight in the first place. Someone like that is not going to allow that in their home no matter what. My mom is like how she described her parents. My uncle in his forties, divorced with two kids, could not sleep in the same bed with his new fiance in our house. I owned my house with my fiance a year before we married but was I able to move in with him? No! Because both our mothers would never be cool with that so I had to wait 'til I was married to live in my own house. People like that are not going to change their moral beliefs because a reunion committee asked them to. Otherwise the story was okay, typical of every similar story.
I loved the story. But toooo many grammatical and spelling mistakes that took away from the story. Hate when that happens.
A short entertaining read with a predictable storyline. I particularly liked Iggy the iguana...and Kennedy's aversion to the lizzard. I found the parents rather faked...It stretched my credibility that parents who'd always been conservative and straightlaced would suddenly metamorphose into free loving hippies...it wasn't comvncing for this reader. My parents certainly wouldn't have.
The book could stand a good proof reading but the mistakes were not enough to make me stop reading or spoil my reading pleasure.
